Dr Kevin Cheng
Dr Kevin Cheng is a cardiologist and cardiac imaging specialist. Kevin manages a wide variety of adult cardiovascular conditions including coronary artery disease and cardiac risk assessment, heart failure, valvular heart disease, hypertension and dyslipidaemia. Kevin is also fluent in Mandarin.
Kevin graduated from Monash University in 2009 and completed his advanced training in cardiology at the Royal Hobart Hospital, MonashHeart, and Eastern Health. He then undertook a fellowship at MonashHeart obtaining a subspeciality training in advanced echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiogram and cardiac CT.
Kevin has a strong interest in cardiovascular research. He completed a Bachelor of Medical Science at Monash University with first class honours and is currently undertaking PhD research into the use of cardiac CT in identifying and treating patients with raised inflammation in their coronary arteries. He is supported by research scholarship from the National Health and Medical Research Council and Avant. Kevin has presented at local and international scientific meetings.
Outside work, he enjoys cooking, travelling, photography, and especially spending time with his wife and two energetic boys.
