TESTS

Echocardiogram

An echocardiogram is a diagnostic test that uses ultrasound to take images of the heart working from a variety of angles on the chest wall and upper abdomen. When undergoing an echocardiogram, you will usually be advised to lie on a bed while one of our experienced sonographers captures images of your heart whilst recording your ECG at the same time. The echocardiogram provides your cardiologist with critical information on the function of your heart and all four heart valves.
