Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT) Ablation

A supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) ablation is recommended for patients who have a confirmed heart rhythm disorder following EP studies. The procedure involves delivering a small amount of heat energy into the heart via catheters, which produces a small scar to terminate the abnormal heart rhythm. The procedure is performed in hospital as a day case under local anaesthetic and sedation.
