Dr Alessandro Comella

Dr Alessandro Comella is a consultant cardiologist and Cardiac Imaging Specialist. Alessandro graduated from Universita’ Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome (Italy) with a Medical and Surgery Degree with honours. He completed his Cardiological Training in the same University and had a long career in Italy before moving to Australia. He has always been interested in all fields or Cardiology, with special interests in critical care, heart failure and cardiac imaging.

Alessandro completed a 1-year post-graduate Master Degree in Critical Care at the Universita’ di Firenze (Italy) acquiring experience in treatment of advanced heart failure patients.

Alessandro has a special interest in cardiac imaging and recently completed in Australia a 1-year Fellowship in non-invasive cardiac diagnostics and CTCA. He has presented at national and international conferences and has multiple publications. He has experience in health issues of remote and rural areas of Australia, having served for 1 year as Outreach Fellow in Northern Territory.

Alessandro is a caring and compassionate doctor committed in his patients’ care. He loves spending his spare time with family and travelling, and occasionally still enjoys a back-horse ride to loosen up!
