Dr Vishal Goel

Dr. Vishal Goel, an accomplished general and academic cardiologist with Australian Cardiovascular Specialists, exhibits comprehensive interests in diverse facets of cardiology. These encompass areas such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and cardiac risk assessment. His specialised interest lies in acute coronary syndrome and coronary interventions.

Originally from Canberra, Dr. Goel graduated with Honours from Monash University in 2016 and completed his cardiology advanced training at Western Health, Austin Hospital, and Bendigo Hospital in Victoria, Australia.

Possessing a robust research background, Dr. Goel remains at the forefront of medical literature. Currently pursuing a PhD through Monash University and the Victorian Heart Hospital, his research centers around evaluating techniques for the expeditious detection of cardiogenic shock to facilitate early mechanical circulatory support, ultimately reducing the mortality rate of patients who undergo this procedure. Dr. Goel’s mission & vision is to further his medical contributions through additional subspecialty training in complex coronary procedures and structural intervention.

Dr. Goel is also a dedicated educator and mentor, actively engaged in junior doctor training and mentorship programs.

Beyond his professional commitments, he finds pleasure in travel and spending quality time with his family. A fervent sports enthusiast, Dr. Goel harbors a particular passion for soccer and cricket.
