
Dr Tamsin Santos
Dr Tamsin Santos graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2004 and has been working as a Specialist Geriatrician since 2013.
As a Geriatrician, Tamsin specialises in the care of people over the age of 65 in areas such as cognition, falls, bone health, medication management and continence. Tamsin works with a person to understand their wishes and improve their health, delivering holistic care. Her clinical area of interest is in reversible frailty and healthy ageing.
Tamsin has worked across Victoria at Monash Health, Western Health and Grampians Health. In these roles she was able to work in general geriatrics as well as the Dementia/Memory, Falls, Movement Disorders and Continence clinics. She has also been the clinical lead in hospital
delirium prevention.
Tamsin is currently working at the Victorian Heart Hospital at Monash Health where she is involved in perioperative management of geriatric cardiac patients.
Tamsin is also involved in research, and as a past affiliate researcher with Monash University, she has publications in the areas of chronic disease and continence. Her current research interest is in frailty in the geriatric and cardiac populations.
Outside work, Tamsin enjoys time with her family, enjoying the outdoors and wonderful food Melbourne has to offer.
